SPECIAL PROGRAMME FOR FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS

Our Law office has designed special program for foreign direct investment (FDI) in Macedonia. Firm in the position to become a member of the EU, Macedonia is becoming increasingly attractive for international companies.

Macedonia has signed numerous free trade agreements, including the EU, all the countries in the South Eastern Europe, Turkey, Ukraine etc.

ADVICES FOR INVESTMENT INTO THE FREE ECONOMIC ZONES

Our Law firm special focus is on investors that want to invest in the free economic zones in Macedonia with following incentives

10 YEAR TAX HOLIDAY – Investors in the free zones are entitled to a 10-year tax holiday for profit and corporate tax and 100% reduction of personal income tax for a period of up to 10 years. Investors are exempt from payment of value added tax for import and trade of goods in the free zones. Additionally, investors are exempt from payment of customs duties for equipment, machines and spare parts.

The land in the free zones in Republic of North Macedonia is available under long-term lease for a period of up to 99 years at concessionary prices.
Investors are exempt from paying utility taxes to the local municipality, and fees for land building permits .
Free connection to natural gas, water and sewage network.
The Government may support growth of capital investments and income with a return of 10% of investment costs in new machines and equipment, or investment in buildings and land up to a maximum of €1 million during a 5-year period.

OBTAINING CITIZENSHIP IN NORTH MACEDONIA

North Macedonia has introduced special conditions for foreign investors for obtaining citizenship.

1. Special economic interest, in terms of this ordinance exists if a foreigner who has submitted a request for acquisition of citizenship of the Republic of North Macedonia, invested capital in the amount of at least 400,000 euros per person as a direct investment in new facilities, with the exception of catering facilities for food and commercial facilities, with at least ten employees persons on indefinite time in the period of at least one year

2. Is a top proven manager in the world within;

3. Achieves economic cooperation with business entities from the Republic of North Macedonia;

4. Realized direct investment in existing business facilities, the construction of new facilities in the country or in long-term securities by value;

5. Invests in the field of industrial property, know-how (knowledge and experience), innovation and technological development;

6. Contributes to promoting the economy of the Republic of North Macedonia in abroad.

REFORM OF THE JUDICIARY

Our Firm is deeply involved in the Reform of judiciary in North Macedonia. The Senior Managing Partner, Jordan Apostolski has worked in several European projects for reform of judiciary and public prosecutors office, conducting trainings for both judges and public prosecutors.

GROWING CANNABIS IN NORTH MACEDONIA

North Macedonia has liberized its cannabis laws allowing growing cannabis for extraction of THC and CBD for medical and commercial purpose.
